Daniel Bolshoy is the head of the Guitar Department at the VSO (Vancouver Symphony Orchestra) School of Music in Vancouver, BC


For the first time, Daniel is accepting students of all levels (including amateurs) from the complete beginner to the aspiring young guitar virtuoso, and performers seeking professional advice and coaching.

Daniel is a highly regarded teacher, with a vast teaching experience at all levels (with extensive University teaching experience as well as many years of teaching children and adult amateur students). Daniel has studied at the University of Toronto and the University of Denver (where he received his Master’s Degree and was also a teaching assistant to Prof. Ricardo Iznaola), he has also taught at the Universities of Arizona in Tucson (GTA), Indiana University in Bloomington (Associate Instructor) and Concordia University in Montreal. He is a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Indiana, Jacobs School of Music. Daniel has given numerous masterclasses at many Universities and guitar societies all over Canada, the United States, Russia and Israel, and has also taught children and beginners for many years.

Currently, Daniel is building the program at the VSO school of music, and that means that he is personally committed to teaching all new students who register, this is the best time to take advantage of a unique opportunity to study with a performer, recording artist, and a highly regarded and sought after teacher.
